After 20 years academic stability, UNILORIN joins ASUU strike

After prolonged battle of over twenty years, University of Ilorin has finally joined the national headquarters of Academic Staff Union of Universities. This is evident as the institution joined the ongoing warning strikes declared by the national leadership of ASUU. ASUU national president, Prof Biodun Ogunyemi, on Monday announced that union will embark on two-week warning strike to call the attention of the Federal Government to the 2009 agreement it had with the union. According to our source from the institution, the management and ASUU leadership led by Dr A. Abduraheem met today and decided on joining the strike.
