President Buhari has set up a special visitation panel to look into the crisis at the University of Lagos and submit a report of their recommendations within two weeks. There are seven members on the panel.
However, the Pro-chancellor, Vice chancellor and the chairman of the council are not to be in duty during the period of this visitation.
The government has also directed the Senate of the University to immediately convene to nominate an acting vice chancellor. He or she shall oversee the affairs of the university pending government decision on the reports of the panel.
