APC Presidential primary : Tinubu emerges the presidential candidate of APC

The former governor of Lagos State, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu emerges the flag bearer of the APC in the Presidential primary election which started on June 6 2022 .

In the outcome of the APC Presidential primary, Tinubu top the chart having 1271 votes, followed by Rotimi Amaechi who had 316 votes, Osinbajo came third having 235 votes.

Other aspirants like, Ahmed Lawan had 152 votes, Yahaya bello had 47 votes, senator Ben Ayade had 37 votes, Ahmed sani had 4 vote Christopher Onu had 1 vote, ikeobasi mokelu had 0 votes, senator Okorocha had 0 vote, jack rich 0 vote. While 13 votes were considered void.

The flag bearer was basically determined in yesterday’s screening and election which was extended till today, June 8 when the presidential candidate was announced.

Tinubu initially expressed his hope to become the presidential candidate of APC when he addressed all the members of the August meeting and he was glad that he emerged as the presidential candidate in the primary election which lasted for three Days, June 6 – June 8
