NOTICE ON ADMISSIONS TO ICE PROGRAMMES FOR 2024/2025 ACADEMIC SESSION
The Institute of Continuing Education (ICE) in collaboration with the Faculties of: Arts, Education
(Sandwich Programmes), Management Sciences, Science and Social Sciences hereby invite
applications for admission into the BA/BSc/BA Ed/BSc Ed Degree Programmes domiciled in the
faculties.
METHOD OF APPLICATION: Application Opens on Monday, February 26, 2024.
i. Log in to UNILAG application portal – http://applications.unilag.edu.ng
ii. Click “Start Fresh Application”
iii. Select ICE as application type, then provide your Surname, First Name, Middle Name, JAMB
registration number, Mobile Phone Number and E-mail Address.
iv. Click the “Pay now” to pay online, the processing fee of ₦15,000 (Fifteen Thousand Naira Only)
or Print the Payment Advice with Remita Number to make payment at any bank within the
University off Lagos.
v. Return to the Application Portal – http://applications.unilag.edu.ng after payment, click
“continue application”, enter your payment reference number and your surname in lower case
as password.
vi. Complete all the required details and upload the necessary documents
vii. Complete the application form, submit online and print two copies. (Candidate can save
their application form for later editing)
viii.Submit one of the hard copy of the completed forms in colour prints to the Department you
have applied and one to the ICE office.
ix. Deadline for submission of Application form is one week to the scheduled qualifying
examination date.
ADMISSIONSREQUIREMENTS
The Institute of Continuing Education (ICE) requires that candidates possess at least one of the
following to qualify for admission into any of the programmes:
i. WASC/SSCE/NECO/GCE (O’ level) or equivalent with Credit in at least f i v e (5) subjects
including English Language and Mathematics obtained at not more than two sittings.
ii. GCE (A’ Level) or Cambridge Examination or equivalent with principal passes in at least two
(2) relevant subjects.
iii. Diploma certificate (OND or HND) from any polytechnic or NCE from any college of
Education approved by the government.
iv. A First Degree of the University of Lagos or any other comparable institution approved by the
Senate.
v. A JUPEB result with a minimum of 2.00 Point.
vi. In addition, Candidates must not be less than 16 years of age and must fulfil any other
requirement set by the Faculty/Department where the programme is domiciled. See
below for specific departmental requirements.
IMPORTANTNOTICE
a) Candidates are required to participate in an entrance examination for these programmes
which will be in English Language and General Paper. For Management Sciences,
Mathematics is inclusive.
b) Qualifying examination schedule: Date, Time and Venue are as displayed on ICE Website:
www.ice.unilag.edu.ng
c) Candidates are expected to be at the examination venue by 7:45am with a color print of
their application form/examination pass.
d) Provisional Admission Letters would be ready for collection two weeks after the
entrance examination.
