University of Lagos on Saturday has announced that 2023/2024 academic session will commence on October, 30, 2023, which implies that all undergraduates of the institution are expected to resume on that chosen date. YOMSDIRECT reports.
YOMSDIRECT observed that the main reason for the extension of the resumption date from the earlier chosen Oct 3 to the recently approved date, Oct 30 was as a result of the intricacies connected with the hiked tuition fees, which was later redressed to suit the minimal interest of the students after numerous backdrop of calls from various quarters, protests, negotiations amongst others.
Meanwhile, the balloting date for hostel accommodation is yet to be announced hence one of the primary reasons of the change in the date of resumption of academic activities. The balloting exercise is expected to commence in the early weeks of October as all students await the official announcement from the management of the school.
